why I shoot FILM
I’m a Blue Mountains photographer who shoots a beautiful hybrid of both analogue film and digital. Film has always held a special place in my heart. I first fell in love with it when I picked up a camera at fifteen, and that magic has never faded.
There’s something timeless and honest about film, the way it captures light, movement and emotion with a softness that feels so real. I shoot on both 35mm and 120 medium format film because each has its own soul. 35mm brings that raw, nostalgic energy, while medium format offers a dreamy depth and richness that digital simply can’t replicate.
Shooting on film also slows me down in the best way. It makes me more intentional, more present. Every frame matters. It means I’m truly with you in the moment, not just clicking away, but seeing and feeling what’s unfolding.
By combining the authenticity of analogue film with the versatility of digital photography, I can tell your story in a way that feels both beautifully timeless and effortlessly modern. I’m based in the Blue Mountains and happily travel to Sydney for sessions, capturing love, connection and those perfectly imperfect moments wherever your story takes us.
And when the film scans come back, it’s a little bit of magic all over again.
